Met up with some friends on Saturday in North Carolina. Squirrels were not moving at all really in the morning and Gray's Prairie Daisy was working hard to show us the meat. She was winding layups. Killed the only two squirrels we saw. Thought y'all might like the picture of the sow Southeastern Fox Squirrel! -Marc Gray Attachments:

Looks like a good morning. I really haven't done much with the squirrels but got a nice 7 pointer with my muzzleloader Saturday morning.

Hard to actually find people in NC Even though I currently live in VA I do most of my hunting in NC. I have a lifetime NC hunting license. I have 2 brothers that live in the Liberty area. I have a travel trailer on my brother's property in Liberty.

I'm going out to the sandhill area to kill a fox squirrel this coming season. Hopefully get a big one. And Phil, hope you have some luck your way, I only managed to shoot that one buck this year during deer season. Saw plenty of does just not many big deer

Sandhills is a great and huge area to hunt. Marc can tell ya, I'm pretty nifty with finding the areas with the fx squirrels on SGL lol! I hunt there 1 or 2 days a week during squirrel season (Ellerbe or hamlet sides). Give me a holler when you come down this way next go 'round.

The more the merrier on our squirrel expeditions on the Game Lands! Hahaha We always have a good time down that way with Byron. Easier walkin' than where we hunt most of the time in VA!
