Mountain Feist Association
1. A membership registry ( men or women's names) $15,00 a person or $20.00 for family.
A. Member to receive a membership card with MFA logo
B. All members receive a yearbook created by sending in own photo and page layout (amount per add too be determined) of their favorite MF 1 per card.
C the monies would fund production of member cards and mailing cost.
2. Annual meeting and comp hunt/ gathering with annual board meeting and squirrel fry.
A hunt to consist of MF only must produce papers from NKC stating its a Mountain Feist.
B. A King and Queen of hunt and bench show to be determined (rules to be determined. Pics to be placed in year book
C. All funds left from membership registration ( after expenses) to be paid to winner in full, number of payouts and amount to be determined by association membership participation and expenses and amount of dogs entered. MORE MEMBERS MORE MONEY PAYOUT 1-10 dogs 1 first place win 1-20 dogs entered 2 places awarded ect, monies to be divided in percentages minimum of 60% always going to first place, remainder determined by entry's
3. Meeting location will be determined by clubs willing to host hunt/ meeting, club will receive 70% of entry fee remaining 30% is to go towards funding the following years card mailing for members MFA .
A. Board of directors to vote on association rules and changes and nomination for awards for participation (winners photo in year book and plaque). To be voted in as a board of director you must be a member of the mountain Feist association along with being an owner of a registered Mountain Feist, proof of both must be provided prior to taking office.
B. Board of Directors will consist of five members, all five members must vote for changes to occur, or proposed changes will be first agenda for membership meeting following year, any BOD refusing to vote will be removed from office affective immediately, and not allowed to hold an office in the mountain Feist Association for three years. President is the only member of this board or association who is allowed to call a special meeting for proposed rule changes.
C. Board of director meeting will occur after normal membership meeting.
D. Bylaws or constitution may only be changed by a unanimous vote of the Board of Directors and do be determined and finalize by the president of the Association by written signature.
E. All official office positions will be voted in at the annual members meeting for the following year, presidential office will be held indefinitely by Allen Rosenbarger founder and president. Office will consist of vice president secretary and treasurer five board members & president/founder Allen Rosenbarger.
4. Members are not required to own a mountain Feist but to participate in the hunt they must have a mountain Feist entered or handle another member's Mountain Feist in the hunt. The handler handling must be a member of the association, handler of the other members Mountain Fiest must provide their ( owner of dog) membership card in good standing along with registration showing that it is a registered Mountain Feist.
5. Membership registration will be open year-round.
6. Any office that is left vacant due to removal or retirement of any officer within the association will be held by the president until the following years register members meeting.
7. Any officer of this club that decides to relinquish their position in the club must return all property or documentation and information of the Mountain Feist association back to the president within 30 days of their termination/ resignation of office.
8. First years hunt will be based off of the NKC sq dog rules, the Mountain Feist association rules for Hunt will be determined that year for the following years annual hunt.
9. Any member that is determined to be a nuisance or agitator or any type of negative behavior to the association or members will be removed from the association without refund. All cases to be herd by the board and ok by president/vp.
10. Any member proposing a rule change must provide to Pres. Prior to membership meeting to be read in front of the entire membership that is present and be voted on by the Board of Directors after the meeting. President & VP must sign and agree with all changes proposed in writing.

Almost 300 members on the Facebook group now. Hope the paid membership continues to grow!

I merely suggested it as a more user friendly area to have real discussions and make decisions at the BOD/Officer level. E-mailing our opinions independently on things is only so useful. We're at the point where things are going to need to be voted on. A Facebook group full of non-paid members may not always be the most appropriate. This forum is free and open for anyone to join. I've had more than one opportunity to run away with a feist organization for personal gain and I have not done it. That record should speak to my intentions.
