Anyone else on here like to garden or plant food plots for wildlife?
I am getting my act together for our vegetable garden and always plant flowers for pollinators. Ordered some exciting heirloom varieties to try like Jimmy Red Corn (James Island, SC) to see how it does. It's said to be what corn was like 100+ years ago across much of The South.

When we used to plant a garden we always planted heirlooms. Seemed to be more hardy and a much better tate

Bunch of seeds I ordered arrived today. The benefit of heirloom is seed-saving. These hybrid veggies are a lot like outcross dogs. Make a good showing but don't reproduce worth a durn. LOL Linebreeding is where it's at!
