Folks,
We are putting thought into how many dogs we can have around now that we live in a neighborhood of sorts. Also, our new daughter is keeping us very busy. My commute doesn't help either because the time I have to hunt is much less than I anticipated.
Long story short, Gray's Circle R Rosie may be available to an approved hunting home. Preferably staying in VA or close. As you can tell, I am not motivated to sell her but circumstances are forcing my hand. I had every intention of keeping her here as an outcross on Ranger. I am asking $1,500. Doesn't even come close to the time I have put into her training, purchase and gas money hauling her. One litter of pups will make that back for you. Here is some info on Rosie.
I made a special trip to Kentucky to pick her up from Glen Riffe in Grayson. Out of GRSQCH Jay's Joe Black x Riffe's Little Sadie. NKC registered. Excellent mother to one litter of pups. Getting great reports on them already.
Needs to be hunted hard this season to help her settle into a good squirrel dog. She is always on the go in the timber and hunts hard. Hunts in a nice circular pattern. Ranges out up to 200 yards when run solo. Decent mouth on her for her size. She is still young and will probably fill out some in the next year.
Will tree easy squirrels and this season should get her to tighten up on tree and be more confident. She has a sweet disposition. I have been working her a lot lately and she handles great.

PS - We also have a neutured male Bassett Hound if anyone is interested. Raised in the house.
