Mother/Daughter Hunt. Took Daisy & Polly for a spin this evening. Hunted about 2 hours. Should have had my limit but a few gave me the slip (one shooter) and a couple timbered to dens before I could get there. Came close to a pair of hunters following a feist-sounding dog. I attempted to reach out to see if they wanted to hunt together but they just continued on their way. It was a shame because I like meeting new folks to hunt with. What can you do? Two of ties were running shots as the squirrel jumped between oaks & the third was atop a pine. SEE MORE PICS FROM RECENT HUNTS ON FACEBOOK!!!

Just talked to Joe Trickey in South Boston, VA. Gray's Purty Polly is going to be coming home! Planning to get her over the Columbus Day weekend if I can. It'll be good to have more of Daisy's genetics here at our place stacking the deck to create more squirrel dogs.
