Folks, I am new to this forum. In fact I am new to Forums in general. This is the first time I have ever participated in a Forum, so please excuse me if I violate some standard procedure.
I have been searching for a breed of dog that will hunt rabbits, but I Have no interest in Beagles. For a while, I was strongly considering Finnish Hounds but could not locate a breeder here in the U.S. My hunting buddy here in Missouri recently purchased a Feist for squirrel hunting. He said he had heard that they were sometimes used for rabbit hunting, and he pointed me to this site. I would love to hear from anyone out there who have used these Gray Feist dogs for rabbit hunting on a fairly regular basis. Mostly I just want to hear about their performance, locating and running the rabbits. Any information will be appreciated. Thanks.

Our dogs make good jump dogs for rabbit. They actually catch quite a few because they're so fast and if you have more than one will run rabbit toward each other. Just be sure of your shot and make sure there are no dogs close to the rabbit before firing!
If you're on Facebook, we have a lot of pics on the Gray's Mountain Feist page there with a rabbit here or there in it. Sometimes we focus strictly on rabbits when the squirrels aren't out. There is some rabbit action with feist on our GetNFeisty DVD also.
