thanks marc for the welcome, i'm from mid michigan and i hunt my 9 year old and my two year old feist much as i can i hunt alone. i just had my 68th. birthday on the 6th. i hunt alone because i don't have a hunting partner. was hunting some with my young nephew but since he enlisted in the air force in sept. i've hunted alone not my choice but most guys my age hunt deer with the bow, and have lost interest in small game. i've been looking on the computer for anything squirrel doggin and i'm looking out the window on this sunny day wishing i was out there. been fighting off bronkitus hpoe to have it on the run soon. glad i found your site!! poorboy

Gary welcome to the site. I have sent a feist or two up that way we'll at least to Michigan and if things work out will be sending another one or two up that way this spring. I hunt alone 99% of the time myself. Folks around here would rather hunt deer and turkey. Makes it hard on a fella but the plus side is ya don't have to compete with other hunters for a place to squirrel hunt. Hope ya get to feeling better soon and hope to see some pictures before long

Hope you get to feelin' better! I hunt either solo, or with my wife & kids most of the time. We do make a point to travel around and hunt with friends but live in squirrel hunting's "no man's land" of the Northeast these days. Few hunters, let alone squirrel dogs.

thanks guys for the positive thoughts i manage the hunting alone by focusing on my dogs and just enjoying their company. sure is fun trying to locate the treed squirrels though. my rita is two years old and trees layups alot especially on the cold days we'ev had 5 degrees and even zero when we left for the woods. she's my first dog with that good a nose really enjoying her. i'm hoping not to make anyone feel bad or think i'm bragging but this year we really have squirrels. definately blessed in that regard and i do enjoy having the woods to myself haven't seen any other squirrel hunters.
